Rádio SBT Kids was a music-focused programme created for the SBT Kids YouTube channel, combining entertainment, learning and playful content for young audiences.
I was responsible for creating the programme’s opening sequence, developing a vibrant and engaging visual experience that brought its musical concept to life within the colourful SBT Kids universe.
Roughs / Storyboard
The process started with quick sketches to explore compositions, character moments, camera framing and possible ways of integrating the radio and music elements into the sequence.
These early drawings helped me experiment freely with ideas before moving into production, defining moments such as the characters enjoying the music, floating musical notes and the final logo reveal.
Styleframes
The final direction combines colourful typography, soft backgrounds, expressive characters and music-inspired graphic elements. Bright colours and rounded forms reinforce the playful nature of the programme, while floating notes and circular lines create a visual representation of sound travelling through the scene.
2D Animation
Character reactions played an important role in communicating the feeling of listening to music. Expressions, movement and close-up shots were used to show the characters completely immersed in the experience.
